OSR Swiss Steak

The perfect recipe for a quick and easy meal that you can put in the oven at lunch and its ready by supper!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package chuck steak
  • 1 tbsp Montreal steak spice
  • 2 onions
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • salt & pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut up the onions.
  • Season steak with Montreal steak spice.
  • In a roasting pan, add some oil and brown the steak with the onions.
  • Take out the steak and then melt butter in the roaster.
  • Add the flour and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Slowly add water while mixing.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and salt and pepper.
  • Bring it all to a boil and then add steak.
  • Cook at 350 degrees for 4 hours. Check every hour and add more water if necessary.
