Hope you had a wonderful start to your week! We are hoping to start haying this week as the fields are starting to bloom.
Every evening, the boys enjoy riding their bikes to do chores. We feed grain to some animals and we lock the sheep up in their shelter for the night. These types of evening make for some great memories.
We checked some pastures and cow/calf pairs on the weekend. There is something so peaceful about walking through a group of cattle grazing until the aspen trees. Call me crazy but there isn’t many other places I would rather be.
I was excited to see our AHXR 11H bull calf. He has some great potential. We haven’t had a bull calf from his dam so it will be exciting to watch him grow and mature.
A couple days ago, I received a special message from a family friend. It brought back lots of memories of my grandparents. Not a day goes by when I don’t think of them. They are the reason Ogilvie Stock Ranch is what it is today. If they hadn’t followed their dream, my boys would not be able to grow up as ranch kids and learn so many important life lessons.
I feel very privileged to be able to carry on my grandparents dreams alongside my parents and my boys. Thank you to all of you for helping us carry this dream on.
