The boys bottle lamb, Spot, loves his bottle. We feed him four times per day and wherever the boys go, Spot goes!

Day 25 - Lilac nursed on her mom today! Yay!!! We

Day 25 - Lilac nursed on her mom today! Yay!!! We will keep her and her mom in a separate pen for a few more days until they are stronger. 2 more calves today and both are doing well. Every morning, we walk through both groups of calves to make sure they are all healthy. We mark down each one that we see to make sure that we see them all. The calves are growing well!

These newborn twin lambs were just beginning to learn to stand. You can the lambs and the ewe talking to each other. The ewe has a very distant sound when she is talking to her new lambs.

Day 24 - When we went down to do chores, the boys

Day 24 - When we went down to do chores, the boys found a set of twin lambs. Only one more ewe is left to lamb now. We also had 1 calf. We are working on Lilac still, but she is getting stronger each day. She doesn’t really like nursing on the bottle, so it takes some time. Hopefully she will nurse on her mom tomorrow!

Day 22 and 23 - We have been working on the calf t

Day 22 and 23 - We have been working on the calf that was a breech birth from Day 21. She is very determined to walk, but still not able to get up on her own, unassisted. The boys have named her Lilac. We have been feeding her a bottle regularly through the day as her mom is very weak. Her mom successfully stood on Day 23 and the c-section ewe has now accepted her lambs. We are making good progress! Three calves total for these 2 days and no new lambs.
