This swiss steak recipe is my favourite when I need a quick and easy meal that I can put in the oven at lunch and be ready to serve at suppertime. When served with mashed potatoes, it is so tasty!

OSR Swiss Steak
The perfect recipe for a quick and easy meal that you can put in the oven at lunch and its ready by supper!
Ingredients
- 1 package chuck steak
 - 1 tbsp Montreal steak spice
 - 2 onions
 - 1/3 cup flour
 - 3 tbsp butter
 - 6 cups water
 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
 - 1/3 cup ketchup
 - salt & pepper
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - Cut up the onions.
 - Season steak with Montreal steak spice.
 - In a roasting pan, add some oil and brown the steak with the onions.
 - Take out the steak and then melt butter in the roaster.
 - Add the flour and cook for 2 minutes.
 - Slowly add water while mixing.
 - Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and salt and pepper.
 - Bring it all to a boil and then add steak.
 - Cook at 350 degrees for 4 hours. Check every hour and add more water if necessary.
