
OSR Beef Lasagna
A exceptional beef lasagna that is a family favourite. We serve this every fall at our preg checking lunch with our vet with caesar salad and garlic bread.
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp basil
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 14 oz can of tomato sauce
- 9-10 strips of express lasagna noodles
- 1 egg
- 1.5 cups cottage cheese
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese sliced thin
Instructions
- Brown meat slowly. Add next 3 ingredients. simmer, covered for 15 minutes. Stir often.
- Beat egg in a bowl and add remaining ingredients, except cheese. Stir.
- Layer ⅓ noodles in a 13 X 9 X 2 inch baking dish, spread ⅓ of sauce, slices of cheese and then cottage cheese mixture. Repeat. Then layer with last ⅓ of sauce and then cheese.
- Sprinkle top with parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or 45 minutes if it was in the fridge.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
